Achieving Greater Resilience with Keep Safe Miami
City of Miami Mayor Francis X. Suarez, Jacqueline Waggoner, President of Solutions for Enterprise Community Partners, and others will discuss the challenges facing South Florida communities amid an ever-growing threat from climate change and extreme weather.

They will also share specifics on KEEP SAFE MIAMI, the new program being launched to help affordable housing owners and operators protect their properties and residents from climate change and natural disasters.

The event will conclude with a panel discussion with several esteemed climate and South Florida housing experts. Expected panelists include:

• Alan Dodd, Chief Resilience Officer and Director, Department of Resilience and Public Works
• George Mensah – Director of Housing and Community Development for the City of Miami
• Laurie Schoeman – Director of Enterprise’s National Resilience and Recovery Work
• Hattie Willis, Executive Director, Communities United
• Steve Kirk – President, Rural Neighborhoods

KEEP SAFE MIAMI was developed in partnership with the City of Miami, Florida Housing Coalition, South Florida Community Development Coalition, Miami-Dade County, Communities United, and IBTS, and made possible thanks to the generous support of JPMorgan Chase, Southeast Sustainability Directors Network, Regions Bank, and City National Bank.
