Providing health services in housing is expensive, and it has fallen upon the housing provider in the past to find the funding sources to provide the services. Grass roots advocacy is needed to convince Congress and the future Administration to provide funds through HHS/CMS to over these services as a high number of residents in affordable housing are dual eligible.

In some states, MCOs can use the RBC / Reserves to make these investments. This can be a great option to consider with Treasury and Financial Teams: https://www.communitycatalyst.org/blog/billions-of-opportunities-health-plan-investment-in-affordable-housing-and-community-development#.X9j87HqSmIM
