Montana Housing Preservation Virtual Summit - Gallery view
Really helpful comments Representative Fern, especially re: engagement with full spectrum of associations.
This is the link for those of you that are interested in digging into the USDA properties at risk: https://public.tableau.com/profile/greg.steck7461#!/vizhome/USDARuralDevelopmentMulti-FamilyHousing/Overview
USDA has also started to post updated portfolio data on a monthly basis. You can access it here: https://www.sc.egov.usda.gov/data/MFH_section_515.html
Can Rep Fern speak to what arguments against affordable housing he is hearing from his colleagues and constituents, and how he thinks it is best to respond to these?
Should we consider an incentive (tax credits, direct payments), to retain 515 housing? And then piggyback possibly with a Coal Trust Loan for likely needed rehab?
I love that line Sherrie (if I'm smartest person in the room, I'm in the wrong room).
I gotta go to work. See some of you at July Interim.
Montana Board of Housing is definitely interested in continuing these conversations. There is also the BBER Affordable Housing study underway looking into state housing tax credit.
Hey everyone, we are working on getting the housing conference materials pulled together. They will be posted at mthousingpartnership.org when they're ready.
Thank you, Julie!
From Andrea: Hi all - lots of talk today importance at Legislature. Please consider joining the Montana Housing Coalition: http://www.mthousingcoalition.org/membership.html
Thank you to all the preservation summit organizers and presenters!
